FOUNDER

I am a Licensed Educational Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a Diplomat of the American Board of School Neuropsychologist, who specializes in evaluating Specific Learning Disabilities including: Dyslexia (reading), Dyscalculia (math), and Dysgraphia (writing), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injury, Chromosome Disorders,  Gifted children, and Autism. I am certified to conduct neuropsychological assessments, which examines all neuropsychological processes including: sensorimotor, attention, visual perception, language processing, memory and learning, executive functioning, cognitive abilities, social and emotional, and academic achievement.  As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) I identify the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions specific to support children who are engaging in negative behavior. These interventions will support the child and family to increase positive behavior while decreasing the negative behavior.

I've dedicated my life to working with children, and parents to support, and enhance learning by identifying appropriate evidenced-based interventions unique to the child's ability. Throughout my career experiences, I've found there are endless factors that can interrupt the learning process. Through an extensive psycho-educational evaluation we can acquire the knowledge of how our brain processes information. Once we identify our unique way of learning, we are able to create interventions, and set up strategies that support learning to it's fullest. Understanding our strengths, and challenges as it relates to our cognitive profile is crucial for understanding how to reach our greatest potential.

I have been working as an Educational Psychologist for the past 13 years. During those years, I've worked as a BCBA in San Diego County, where I developed a district wide positive behavior support team that supported children with behavioral challenges. I taught staff effective ABA interventions, and conducted several trainings related to behavior techniques, and approaches throughout the district. Prior to working  in San Diego County, I worked in Santa Barbara County,  as an educational psychologist for 7 years.  At that time, I conducted psycho-educational, and neuropsychological evaluations that supported parents, and teachers to design, and create a tailored program, unique to each child's identified learning style. In addition to conducting evaluations, I provided behavior support, and counseling services to assist with the social, and emotional needs of each child.
